YAHOO WISL-S WHILE IT CARRIES A SOCCER GAME LIVE ONLINE

          The World Indoor Soccer League (WISL) has signed an
     agreement with Yahoo! that includes the broadcast of a
     league game in streaming video on the Internet (see THE
     DAILY, 7/21).  The WISL claims it to be the world's first
     soccer broadcast of its kind.  Under terms of the deal, fans
     will be able to view the August 19 game, featuring the
     Houston Hotshots-Dallas Sidekicks, at www.WISL.net.  Future
     plans with Yahoo! also include an Internet broadcast of the
     WISL Championship game in December.  WISL.net is expected to
     launch in the next ten days, with an online campaign being
     planned around the launch (WISL).
