NBA RECRUITS DIGITAS AS INTERACTIVE SOLUTIONS PARTNER

          The NBA retained Boston-based Digitas as a strategic
     partner in the implementation of interactive solutions for
     the development of the NBA's and WNBA's Internet presence
     (NBA).  Digitas is "expected to help develop marketing and
     sponsorship strategies for NBA.com, WNBA.com, 29 NBA team
     sites, 16 WNBA team sites and eight international sites." 
     As part of the partnership, Digitas CEO David Kenny said
     that Digitas "plans to upload" the NBA's collection of
     video, stats, highlights, news and merchandise for 24-hour
     access "in any medium fans wants to use, including wireless,
     interactive TV or online" (BRANDWEEK ONLINE, 7/19).
