          More than a thousand people are expected to attend the
     funeral of JULIUS ERVING's 19-year-old son, CORY, today in
     FL.  Sports marketer STEADMAN GRAHAM will deliver the eulogy
     (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 7/12)....Lakers coach PHIL JACKSON's
     speaking fee has climbed from $50,000 to $75,000 since his
     team won the NBA Championship last month.  Jackson's agent
     and attorney TODD MUSBERGER said that he has "fielded six to
     10 calls a day" since the Lakers victory (Mult., 7/11).
     ...DUKE UNIV. has "received a sworn statement" from former
     player and Clippers F COREY MAGGETTE that he "received cash"
     from summer coach MYRON PIGGIE while Maggette was in high
     school.  The "admission probably will cost" the Duke
     basketball team its '99 NCAA runner-up finish and $226,815
     of NCAA revenue (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 7/12)....MN-based IMANI
     SPORTS has signed PGA Tour player NOTAH BEGAY to a rep deal
     (GOLF, 7/12).  Imani also inked LPGA Tour player CARIN KOCH
     currently No. 15 on the money list (Imani).
