DID HEAT TRY TO DO THE RIGHT THING IN CURBING SPIKE LEE?

Spike Lee "claims he was told by the Heat he not only
could not sit courtside" during yesterday's Knicks-Heat Game
Seven, but "also he could not wear a [Knicks] jersey, or the
season tickets he used for the game would be revoked,"
according to Ira Winderman of the Ft. Lauderdale SUN-
SENTINEL. Lee "instead spent the game seated directly
behind the Heat bench and taunted" Heat President & coach
Pat Riley throughout. Lee: "Because of their pettiness, by
winding up behind the Heat bench, I was able to torment the
whole game and they got what they deserve." Lee said that
actor/Lakers fan Jack Nicholson "never would have received
similar treatment from Riley" (SUN-SENTINEL, 5/22).
