THE BROADBAND KEEPS PLAYIN' ON: DIRECTV'S FIRST WEB PARTNER

          DirecTV and Broadband Sports have formed a multi-year,
     strategic marketing partnership, under which Broadband will
     create original programming to air on DirecTV's "This Week
     On Sports" beginning this summer.  Additionally, Broadband
     and its Internet sports properties, including
     AthletesDirect, SportsWritersDirect and RotoNewsDirect, will
     be featured in promotional spots airing across the DirecTV
     platform.  As part of the deal, which marks DirecTV's first
     with an Internet company, DirecTV has made an equity
     investment in Broadband (DirecTV).  The HOLLYWOOD REPORTER
     reports that starting in August, Broadband will "provide
     five hours of original programming" per week, including
     athlete profiles, sports memorabilia and fantasy league-
     related content, to DirecTV (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 4/14).
