JORDAN SAYS HE IS COMMITTED TO WIZARDS, ENJOYING LIFE IN NBA

Wizards President of Basketball Operations Michael
Jordan, who is at the Desert Classic NBA Pre-Draft Camp in
AZ scouting players, told Richard Justice of the WASHINGTON
POST that he plans to buy a residence in DC and "would like
to spend more time with the team" next season. But he
"rebutted criticism that his absences mean he's less than
passionate about his new job." Jordan: "I think people want
to see me there. I am there. I talk every day on the
phone, I e-mail people. ... I will be there more next year
once things start to progress. ... You don't see too many
team presidents around the arena all the time. Because it's
me, everybody expects a little bit more." Jordan, on his
new position: "It's so much fun" (WASHINGTON POST, 4/14).
