          CO ski exec GEORGE GILLETT, who this week "stepped down
     from active management of his Booth Creek Ski Holdings Inc.
     empire," has agreed to pay $11M for Booth Creek's Grand
     Targhee Ski and Summer Resort in WY (DENVER POST, 3/17).
     ...The STARS visited the White House yesterday and met with
     PRESIDENT CLINTON in honor of last year's Stanley Cup win. 
     The team was accompanied by Stars Owner TOM HICKS and NHL
     Commissioner GARY BETTMAN.  Clinton: "Hockey is a lot like
     politics.  It's a tough game with a lot of lead changes. 
     You literally don't know what will happen until the final
     moment" (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 3/17)....Bucs Owner MALCOLM
     GLAZER is trying to sell his 14,000-square-foot, ocean-front
     Palm Beach estate for $19.95M (WALL STREET JOURNAL,
     3/17)....NJ-based author ROBERT SKEAD has written the
     children's book, "SAFE AT HOME: A BASEBALL CARD MYSTERY,"
     via CROSS TRAINING PUBLISHING (Cross Training).
