SIMPLY RED: BOBBY KNIGHT SLAMS CNN/SI FOR ABUSE STORY

          IN Univ. men's basketball coach Bobby Knight
     "chastised" CNN/SI yesterday for its report that alleged
     Knight verbally, physically and mentally abused former
     players, and said that "if he were an executive at the media
     conglomerate, he would fire the journalists responsible for
     the story," according to Bill McCleery of the INDIANAPOLIS
     STAR.  Knight: "Somebody told me yesterday that CNN/Sports
     Illustrated is about to merge with the National Enquirer.
     ... To me, that would be the perfect match-up" (INDIANAPOLIS
