LEAGUE NOTES

          The ATP Tour's RCA Championships Tournament Dir Rob
     MacGill said the event is looking to bring a women's
     tournament back to Indianapolis.  In other news, Tom Sams
     was named President of the RCA Championships (INDIANAPOLIS
     STAR, 2/22)....The World Indoor Soccer League "approved a
     preliminary request" from the Portland Pythons "to move" to
     Tacoma in the summer of 2001.  The Pythons averaged 3,164
     for 14 home games last season at the Rose Garden, the lowest
     attendance in the team's history (Tacoma NEWS-TRIBUNE,
     2/22)....CBA Owner Isiah Thomas "reiterated plans" to expand
     the league by as many as seven teams, "and possibly more,"
     by next season.  Thomas: "The key right now is to continue
     to expand" (GRAND RAPIDS PRESS, 2/22).
