          Seattle-based Rivals.com has received a $35M investment
from Softbank Capital Partners that the company "will use to
support its network of team-specific Web sites," according
to John Cook of the SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER. Total
financing in the company now stands at "more than" $65M.
Cook notes that Rivals has "assembled a network of more

journalists who specialize in recruiting news, player
profiles ... and other insider information." The company,
which has "doubled its staff to 137 employees in the past
six months," received a $30M investment in August from Fox
Sports, Intel and Silicon Valley venture capital firm Hummer
Winblad Venture Partners. Rivals.com will move into a new
     54,000-square-foot headquarters in May (SEATTLE P-I, 2/17).
