          CART team Owner and former Indy Car driver TONY LEE
     BETTENHAUSEN was killed yesterday in a plane crash outside
     of Leesburg, KY.  He was 48 (Mult., 2/15)....USA TODAY's
     DeWayne Wickham reviews MICHAEL JORDAN's ad supporting BILL
     BRADLEY and writes that Jordan "lacks the credibility of
     MUHAMMAD ALI or the late ARTHUR ASHE, both of whom put their
     sports careers at risk to champion a long list of political
     causes" (USA TODAY, 2/15)....The sports documentary
     "CITIZENSHIP THROUGH SPORTS" will debut at the Clearview
     Cinema in N.Y. tonight at 7:30pm ET.  The film, produced by
     T-Line TV, is a finalist for Best Sports Documentary at the
     N.Y. Int'l Independent Film and Video Festival (THE
     DAILY)....In St. Paul, Charley Walters writes to "look for"
     former Vikings GM TIM CONNOLLY to be named CEO of Sports
     Operations for TV producer BARRY KEMP, who is in talks to
     buy the Coyotes (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 2/15)....Former
     Univ. of NC basketball coach DEAN SMITH "teamed up"
     yesterday with U.S. Sen. JOHN EDWARDS (D-NC) "to push for a
     national ban on gambling on high school, college and Olympic
     events" (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 2/15)...A GA Superior Court
     judge ruled yesterday that Ravens LB RAY LEWIS can be
     released on $1M bond.  Ravens Owner Art Modell, who was a
     character witness for Lewis, said yesterday's action is "an
     indication that the case is weak" (Baltimore SUN, 2/15).
