CONNECT THE DOT-COMS: START-UPS JOIN HEAVYWEIGHTS IN BOWL

          The following lists in-game national advertisers during
     Sunday's Super Bowl XXXIV broadcast on ABC.  Reports have
     had the average cost of a 30-second spot at $2.2M, and the
     N.Y. TIMES' Stuart Elliott writes that $135M is the
     "approximate cost of all the commercials to run during the
     game" (N.Y. TIMES, 1/28).  AD AGE's "Viewpoint" writes that
     with a 37.5% increase in the cost of in-game spots over last
     year's Super Bowl broadcast, "It may be time for a Super
     Bowl equivalent of a stock market correction. ... It would
     be healthy to see Super Bowl ad prices stabilize" (AD AGE,

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth.
