ECHL REACHES REGIONAL DEAL IN THE SOUTH WITH CSS

          The ECHL has reached a deal with Comcast Corp. and
     Charter Communications, investors in Charter Sports
     Southeast (CSS), that will see CSS packaging, producing and
     distributing 11 ECHL games as part of the "ECHL Friday Night
     Game of the Week," beginning January 21.  Televised games
     will originate from ECHL cities Augusta, GA; Birmingham, AL;
     Greenville, SC; Mobile, AL and North Charleston, SC (ECHL).
          ON ESPN: ESPN has signed a marketing partnership with
     the ECHL in 18 of the league's 28 markets.  The league's
     All-Star Game and skills competition, scheduled for January
     18-19 in Greenville, SC, will be televised on ESPN2.  The
     partnership will also center around promotional trips that
     affiliates can use to send fans to the event (ESPN).
