FORBES LISTING SHOWS SOME BRIGHT SPOTS IN NHL VALUATIONS

The following lists FORBES' franchise valuation
estimates for NHL teams. FORBES: "More than half the teams
in the NHL are losing money. But the fundamentals of the
industry are stronger than ever: Merchandise and television
revenues are growing rapidly, and the new owners like Mario
Lemieux, Craig Leipold and Ted Leonsis are introducing
aggressive marketing ideas. Also, a lot of talented European
players coming into the league should broaden the sport's
appeal" (FORBES, 12/13 issue). See the NBA list tomorrow.
