FAMOUS FIXINS SHOWS ITS HARDT; NO FL WAR FOR THESE COACHES

          N.Y.-based Famous Fixins has signed a deal to produce a
     new beef jerky product around Dale Earnhardt.  Dale
     Earnhardt Beef Jerky will be launched in the Southeastern
     U.S. early next year, with plans to roll it out nationally. 
     The package will contain four one-ounce bags and will
     feature Earnhardt's No. 3 Chevrolet (Famous Fixins).
          OH, BEHAVE! Univ. of FL football coach Steve Spurrier
     and FL State Univ. football coach Bobby Bowden "are trying
     to cool their fans a bit" in PSAs on FL radio/TV stations
     this week before their annual game on Saturday. The coaches
     "basically plead for sportsmanship among fans."  Spurrier,
     in his spot: "Hopefully, our people will really behave in a
     good manner this week."  Bowden says, "No taunting or
     belittling of the other fans" (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 11/17).
          AIM HIGH: TX-based mutual fund company AIM Management
     Group launched a new TV ad campaign featuring Mia Hamm and
     Lance Armstrong.  The ads, with the tag, "Discipline Creates
     Performance," were produced by The Richards Group (AIM).
