2001 EDMONTON TRACK & FIELD EVENT INKS FIRST MAJOR SPONSORS

          Canada-based Telus and DMR Consulting Group have signed
     on as the "first major sponsors" of the Edmonton 2001 World
     Championships in Athletics, according to John Korobanik of
     the EDMONTON JOURNAL.  Telus, whose "support will amount to
     more than" C$2.5M in products, services and office space,
     will supply a "fully integrated, state-of-the-art" telecom
     network for the event.  DMR will coordinate timing and
     results systems operation (EDM. JOURNAL, 11/10).
