SC Circuit Judge COSTA PLEICONES ruled Friday that
LESLIE PRICE can use testimony from a former Hornets
cheerleader in her sexual-assault suit against Hornets Owner
GEORGE SHINN. Pleicones also said that he "might let
Price's ex-boyfriend testify for Shinn" during the trial,
which is scheduled to start December 6. But that
questioning "probably would be limited to evidence
suggesting Price has lied under oath" (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER,
10/23)....CHARLES BARKLEY, who will retire at the end of
this season, has donated $1M to his scholarship funds at
both Leeds (AL) High School and Auburn Univ. Barkley gave
another $1M for a scholarship at the Cornerstone School, an
inner-city school in Birmingham. Barkley, on his next
career move: "Obviously I'd like to do some acting." Asked
about owning an NBA franchise, Barkley said, "If I could get
one for a couple hundred million, that would be a bargain"

candidate BILL BRADLEY is "backed by numerous corporate
titans, especially those from Wall Street." Securities
Industry Association President Mark Lackritz: "It isn't any
of the policies that make him popular. Part of it is he was
a Knick, and a very successful one at that. A lot of the

On using his celebrity status as a former NBA player to
raise money and support for his campaign from such people as

team. I would have to be stupid to say, `Oh no, everybody
