TICKET PARADE: SUNS PUSH MORE SEATS; HAWKS ON UPSWING

The Suns, after renewing 91% of last year's season
ticket accounts and "going through the waiting list," still
have season tickets available for the '99-2000 season,
according to Bob Young of the ARIZONA REPUBLIC. Suns Senior
VP/Corporate Communications Ray Artigue: "If people want
tickets, we have them -- as long as they aren't too picky
about the location." Artigue said the available seats were
not a reflection of team interest, but instead due to the
fact that the Suns have made more seats available on a
season ticket basis than in the past. The team has
"actually" sold "more season tickets" this season than they
did last season, when 16,300 were sold (AZ REPUBLIC, 9/30).
HAWKS: In Atlanta, Jeffrey Denberg reports that the
Hawks have sold 6,500 full-season ticket packages, plus 400
21-game packages and 400 12-game packages, putting pre-
season training camp ticket sales at the "highest level" in
a decade. Hawks Exec VP Lee Douglas: "It's not where we
want to be, but it's a marked improvement over what we've
done in recent years." In '99, the Hawks sold 4,000 full-
     season tickets, 600 for a half-season and 200 for 13 games
at GA Tech Univ. (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 9/30).
