GAYLORD CONTINUES SPORTS MARKETING PUSH WITH TN BOWL TIE

TN-based Gaylord Entertainment "has paid $100,000 to
become a presenting sponsor" of this year's Homepoint.com
Music City Bowl, to be held December 29 at Adelphia
Coliseum, making the company "one of the top three sponsors"
of the event, according to Keith Russell of the NASHVILLE
BUSINESS JOURNAL. Sonic Drive-In is the other presenting
sponsor. Gaylord, which "replaces" Powertel PCS as a
presenting sponsor, will "play a major role in a number of
the events leading up to and during" the event, including a
"downtown extravaganza" the night prior to the game, a
"tented village" the day of the game and the halftime show.
The company will receive ad time on ESPN and the Westwood
One radio network and "will also be able to display
considerable signage in close proximity to" the playing
field (NASHVILLE BUSINESS JOURNAL, 9/27 issue).
