WWC ROUND-UP: BRANDI SIFTING THROUGH DEALS; EA INKS FOUDY

U.S. women's soccer team D Brandi Chastain has "been
flooded with offers" since last month's WWC Final, as she
has signed deals with Volvo, Nike, PowerBar and Gallery
Furniture "for all media and corporate appearances,"
according to Army Archerd of DAILY VARIETY. Chastain has
also mulled over "four or five autobio book offers, but has
said, 'Let's do it as a team.'" And though Chastain has
been offered "guest shots" on "Beverly Hills, 90210,"
"Sabrina" and "Dawson's Creek," her agent John Courtright
said that all were "nixed." However, Archerd writes that
for Chastain, who is "booked four days out of the week with
appearances," moving to TV "will eventually be the avenue
when she decides soccer is finito" (DAILY VARIETY,
8/25)....EA Sports has added U.S. women's team MF Julie
Foudy as a commentator on its FIFA 2000 game, due in
November. EA Sports spokesperson Kathy Frazier said that
the video game maker is "considering" women's soccer and
WNBA titles, as well (USA TODAY, 8/25)....U.S. women's team
G Tracy Ducar has selected Sue Rodin of N.Y.-based Stars &
Strategies as her marketing rep (Stars & Strategies).
THE KICKER: In Orlando, Jerry Greene: "Come to think,
instead of Wheaties, shouldn't the U.S. Women's World Cup
soccer team be on boxes of Kix?" (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 8/25).
