EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          The WNBA Sparks have "fired" GM RHONDA WINDHAM.  Sparks
     President JOHNNY BUSS will take over on an interim basis
     "while he is interviewing replacements" (O.C. REGISTER,
     6/26)....The Lakers have named JEANIE BUSS Exec VP/Business
     Operations (SportsTicker, 6/28)....JOHN SMYTH has been named
     Senior Dir of USOC Sport Services, and former Assistant Dir
     of Athlete Support MARY KLEVER has been promoted to
     Associate Dir of the Athlete Services Division (USOC)....DP
     Fox Sports & Entertainment has named RANDY CLEVES and LISA
     TAYLOR as Dir of Media Relations and Dir of Merchandising,
     respectively.  Cleves, most recently Manager of
     Communications for the IHL Blades, will serve as the primary
     media contact for the IHL Griffins and AFL Rampage (DP Fox
     Sports & Entertainment).......The CBA Bobcats named CHRIS
     ZILLS as Dir of PR & Account Exec (SportsTicker, 6/28).
