SABRES' EXTENDED PLAYOFF RUN HAS SPORTSERVICE SMILING

Games One and Two of the Maple Leafs-Sabres Eastern
Conference Finals at Marine Midland Arena "set revenue
records" for Delaware North's Sportservice food, concession
and parking operations, according to James Fink of BUFFALO
BUSINESS FIRST. For the game on May 27, revenues averaged
about $13.50 per person for the 18,595 in attendance, which
is about 68% more than a regular season game, where "a
typical fan" will spend about $8. Meanwhile, the May 29
game brought in $242,000 in total revenue for Sportservice.
To handle the business, Sportservice hired 71 new part-time
workers for the games (BUFFALO BUSINESS FIRST, 6/7 issue).
