HOUSTON EXECS TAKE ANOTHER STEP CLOSER TO NFL TEAM?

          Harris County Commissioners reviewed plans this week
     for adding another $91.6M in convention and exhibition
     facilities to the Astrodome, according to John Williams of
     the HOUSTON CHRONICLE.  Combined with previously approved
     plans for $99.2M for the complex and $195M in local tax
     funds for a new $310M football stadium, "county officials
     believe the complex will be transformed into one of the
     nation's premier" convention locations.  Greater Houston
     Convention & Visitors Bureau's Jordy Tollett: "We should
     have every thing the NFL wants.  We will have the nicest
     facility in the country and all the facilities they need
     right next door" (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 6/10).
