PREDATORS PREYING ON UNITED SPORTS VENTURES FOR AFL2 PLANS

          Orlando Predators Entertainment has entered into a
     letter of intent to acquire United Sports Ventures, which
     controls the UHL Quad City Mallards, and the expansion MO
     River Otters and Rockford (IL) IceHogs.  The Mallards ranked
     fourth in total attendance among 150 minor league hockey
     teams, while the River Otters and IceHogs begin play
     starting with the '99-2000 season (Predators).
