ANHEUSER-BUSCH FEELS THE FORCE IN TIE WITH WINSTON RACING

A-B has made its Budweiser brand a contingency Winston
Cup sponsor for '99 and will contribute $5,000 to the NASCAR
Winston Racing Series national champion. The company joins
CV Products, NAPA Echlin and Holley Carburetors as new
     Winston Cup contingency sponsors (NASCAR).
NEW UNIS: OH-based uniform manufacturer Cintas has
inked a one-year deal to become the preferred uniform
supplier of NASCAR. Cintas will outfit NASCAR officials
with race-day uniforms and work-day apparel. Employees at
the NASCAR Cafe, NASCAR Thunder retail stores, NASCAR
SpeedParks and Silicon Motor Speedway will also receive
Cintas uniforms. Also, Cintas will feature two-pages of
NASCAR product in two of its catalogs (Cintas).
TAKE HOLD, THUNDER ROAD: In May, Melling Racing's Jerry
Nadeau-driven No. 9 Ford, with the Braves on TBS logo, will
appear at three NASCAR Thunder stores -- one in GA and two
in TN -- to promote the retail outlets and TBS's involvement
in NASCAR. Melling Racing Marketing Coordinator Lake Speed
Jr. said "this is the first organized cross-promotional
effort" that the Thunder store has done with a team.
...NASCAR's Team Sabco has retained NC-based PR and sports
marketing agency Williams Company of America to serve as its
PR consultant to work mostly with the Sterling Marlin-driven
No. 40 Coors Light Chevrolet team (SPEEDNET, 5/19).
FRESH FLAKES: In celebration of the 11th anniversary of
winning The Winston, Terry Labonte will drive a specially
     designed No. 5 Kellogg's K-Sentials Chevrolet in the 15th
running of the event this Saturday at Lowe's Motor Speedway
in Charlotte. Labonte will also make his 200th start in
Kellogg's colors in the new car for the Coca-Cola 600 at LMS
