ESPN SETS PLANS FOR HAVANA; O'S BRING STUDENTS ON FIELD TRIP

          ESPN will televise the March 28 exhibition game between
     the Orioles and the Cuban National Team from Havana's
     LatinoAmericana Stadium at 12:00 noon ET.  Jon Miller and
     Joe Morgan will handle the game (ESPN).  In Boston, Peter
     Gammons wrote that if LatinoAmericana Stadium were large
     enough, this Sunday's game "could easily draw more than
     300,000" people (BOSTON GLOBE, 3/22).  In Baltimore, Alvarez
     & Penn write that 15 students from Baltimore's St. Ignatius
     Loyola Academy were selected to join the Orioles on their
     trip to Havana.  St. Ignatius President & Founder Rev.
     William Watters: "[Orioles Owner] Peter Angelos spoke to me
     personally and said, 'We would be happy to cover the cost of
     the students flying to and from Cuba and their hotel costs." 
     Through a lottery system, six eighth-graders, five seventh-
     graders, four sixth-graders and two alternates were chosen
     to accompany the team (Baltimore SUN, 3/23).
