OAKLAND CO-OWNER STEVE SCHOTT SAYS THE PRICE IS RIGHT

          Though two of three potential ownership groups "have
     made inquiries" about lowering the $122M price tag for the
     A's, co-Owner Steve Schott said he is not willing to lower
     the sales price, according to Howard Bryant of the SAN JOSE
     MERCURY NEWS.  Schott: "The price is there, the proposal is
     there ... there will be no further negotiations on the price
     or the terms or anything else."  While three groups have
     gone public with their interest, Game Plan Inc. CEO Bob
     Caporale said that two other groups have expressed interest,
     but haven't gone public at this time (MERCURY NEWS, 2/20).
