JORDAN TO TAKE NIKE BRAND REVENUE TO LAUNCH TEACHERS FUND

          MICHAEL JORDAN will give $5M to launch his "Jordan
     Fundamentals" program for educators in public secondary
     schools that serve disadvantaged students, according to USA
     TODAY's Oscar Dixon.  Jordan will announce the program today
     in Washington, DC, which will be "funded by a portion of the
     proceeds" from Nike's Jordan Brand division.  A $1M donation
     will be made "each of the next five years."  The grant will
     be handled by the National Foundation for the Improvement of
     Education.  In its first year, the program will make 400
     awards of $2,500 to teachers (USA TODAY, 1/29).
