EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          Former NHLPA President MIKE GARTNER was named Dir of
     Business Relations for the NHLPA.  Gartner will be
     responsible for licensing and charity initiatives as well as
     pension issues (NHLPA)....PA-based Global Sports named MARY
     TAYLOR as RYKA President.  Taylor will be responsible for
     overseeing all functions of the RYKA division.  Taylor was
     previously Converse Senior Dir of Global Marketing for
     Athletic Originals.  Former RYKA President KATE BEDARSKI is
     leaving the industry (Global Sports)....BEN HAGGIN has been
     promoted to NTRA Senior Manager of Membership Development
     (NTRA)....ROI Sports & Entertainment Research named JULEE
     LYNCH as Research Manager.  Lynch was previously an ESPN
     Chilton Sports Senior Analyst (ROI)....Aspen Marketing Group
     named NEAL VITALE as President & CEO.  Vitale was previously
     President & CEO of N.Y.-based Petersen Cos. (AD AGE, 1/29).
     ...The Bills have promoted RUSS BRANDON to VP/Business
     Development.  Brandon was previously Exec Dir of Marketing &
     Business Development (Bills).
