          The MLB Giants have signed a $60M deal, the team's
     "largest corporate deal to date," for Enron Energy Services
     to provide electricity and facilities management services
     for its new downtown ballpark.  Part of the sponsorship's
     proceeds will go toward funding the $306M Pac Bell Park, and
     an "undisclosed" portion is capital to purchase equipment
     for heating, cooling and venting (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL,
     12/14 issue)....Aurora, CO, city officials are "talking to"
     Penske Motorsports about annexing 640 acres in Adams County
     for a "super speedway" (ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS, 12/14)....In
     Toronto, Marty York reports that "an unprecedented black
     market has already developed for tickets" to the Maple
     Leafs' final game at Maple Leaf Gardens.  Seats that cost
     C$24-100 are "reportedly being sold for as much as" C$3,500
     (GLOBE & MAIL, 12/16)....The Carefree (AZ) Town Council
     "unanimously agreed" Tuesday to join a stadium district with
     Scottsdale, "supplying a crucial element to plans" to build
     a new hockey arena at Los Arcos Mall.  Scottsdale will vote
     on Thursday whether to form a funding district and take the
     issue to the voters (AZ REPUBLIC, 12/16).
