NEW REGIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE NAMES SIX FOUNDING CITIES

          The Regional Football League (RFL) announced that it
     will debut next year with six teams, with its season
     scheduled to start on April 3.  The league's 14-game regular
     season will conclude on the weekend of July 4 and be
     followed by two weeks of playoffs.  Teams will be based in
     Shreveport-Bossier, Houston, Jackson, Mobile, New Orleans
     and Toledo.  The RFL is also looking to expand in 2000, with
     the focus on Dallas, Little Rock, the New England area,
     Orlando, Salt Lake City, San Jose, Wichita and Winston-
     Salem.  An investment meeting for additional prospective
     owners is planned for the first weekend in December (RFL).
