FACILITY NOTES

          The United Center's two-year deal to host the Big Ten
     men's basketball tournament will be extended for another
     year.  Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delaney said that the
     conference will consider making the arena its permanent
     tournament home (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 10/26).....L.A.-based
     sports marketing company Envision was hired by Palace Sports
     and Entertainment to market naming rights to the Palace of
     Auburn Hills.  Envision President Jeffrey Knapple said that
     the company has also signed Nestle and The Sports Authority
     as clients for the consulting business.  NHL Kings co-Owner
     Philip Anschutz has an ownership stake in Envision
     (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 10/26 issue)....In Montreal, the
     earliest the Expos would be able to move into a new stadium
     in the middle of the 2001 season.  Expos CEO Jacques Menard:
     "It isn't the first time a team has had to change the date
     it's moving into a new stadium.  Toronto and Seattle also
     had to do it" (Jeff Blair, Toronto GLOBE & MAIL, 10/27).
