HOW 'BOUT THAT DEBT OFFERING! NFL TO FLOAT BOND TODAY?

The NFL's $600M bond issue "may be sold as soon as
today," according to Newman & French of the WALL STREET
JOURNAL. The issue "is expected to yield" about two
percentage points more than the "benchmark 30-year Treasury
bond" -- at about 7% -- and is "supported largely" by the
NFL's lucrative national TV deal. Despite NFL TV ratings
being "off as much as 11% from a year ago ... browsers have
flocked to recent presentations" about the offering. John
Queen, portfolio manager at L.A.-based Hotchkis & Wiley,
said the offering "will be a fun name to have in a
     portfolio" (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 10/21).
