LET'S GET PHYSICAL IN BOSTON -- WITH THE CELTICS

Developers of the new HealthPoint health-and-fitness
center outside Boston are "hoping for a marketing slam dunk"
by combining the Celtics' practice facilities with its own
facilities open to public membership, according to Joseph
Boyce of the WALL STREET JOURNAL. The project, scheduled to
open next spring, will be the new home of the team's
coaching offices, practice court and workout centers.
However, the center will be available to the public for an
     $80 a month for a membership plus an additional $50 for a
spouse and $25 for a child. Members will have their own
gym, jogging track, swimming pool, squash courts, cafe and
child-care center, which will also be available to Celtics'
players and their families. The Celtics have a 12-year
lease with HealthPoint, which is "expected to cost about"
$32M to complete (Joseph Boyce, WALL STREET JOURNAL, 10/21).
