FATHERS AND SON: OWNERS AND OFFSPRING IN HEADLINES

          T-Wolves Owner GLEN TAYLOR is "making a good recovery
     after undergoing an angioplasty this week at Rochester's
     Mayo Clinic," according to Sid Hartman of the Minneapolis
     STAR TRIBUNE.  Taylor "suffered chest pains" while in Duluth
     for a business meeting, but after the procedure, friends say
     he is "resting comfortably" (STAR TRIBUNE, 7/18).
          HICKS, POWER PLAYER: Stars/Rangers Owner TOM HICKS was
     profiled by Bill Sullivan of the HOUSTON CHRONICLE.  Hicks:
     "I have an addictive personality in everything I do.  I'm a
     very naturally competitive person, whether it's business or
     playing golf with friends (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 7/19).
          ROCKIN' LACHLAN: RUPERT MURDOCH's 26-year-old son
     LACHLAN, the heir to Murdoch's News Corp., was profiled in
     Sunday's N.Y. TIMES MAGAZINE.  In social settings, Lachlan
     "has a graceful manner that friends say he inherits from his
     mother.  Lachlan is famous for paying attention to the least
     prominent person in the room" (N.Y. TIMES MAGAZINE, 7/19).
