          TCI said Friday that President LEO HINDERY JR. won't
     oversee day-to-day operations any longer of Liberty Media
     Corp. or TCI Ventures Group.  Both entities will be guided
     by TCI Chair JOHN MALONE.  Reporting to him will be Liberty
     Media President & CEO ROBERT BENNETT and GARY HOWARD,
     President & CEO of Ventures, who Friday was named Exec VP &
     COO of Liberty Media (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 7/20)....Nike
     promoted KEVIN WULFF to VP & GM of its Americas region. 
     Wulff had been GM of The Americas (Nike)....Prince Sports
     Group promoted Product Manager of Recreational Tennis
     SHARLENE SONES to Senior Product Manager of Indoor Court
     Sports (Prince)....ScheerSports, Owner of the ECHL
     Greenville Grrrowl, named COREY MASSE as the team's Dir of
     Broadcasting & Media Relations (ScheerSports).
