FORMER MD STADIUM AUTHORITY CHAIR GETS LEGG UP IN NEW FIELD

          Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc. announced that JOHN MOAG
     has joined the firm as a Managing Dir and head of the
     company's Professional Sports Industry Group in the
     Investment Banking Department.  Moag, most recently Chair of
     the MD Stadium Authority, will build upon Legg Mason's
     existing sports practice and will create a new group to meet
     the growing need for investment, financing and transaction
     advice in the sports industry.  Moag will be based in
     Baltimore (Legg Mason).  In Baltimore, Mark Guidera reports
     that Legg Mason "is looking to expand its business in
     packaging stadium and sports arena financing deals ... to be
     ready for the expected growth in teams wanting to sell stock
     and go public." Moag said he intended to stay on as Chair of
     the MD Stadium Authority, a volunteer post (Balt. SUN,5/29).
