NAMES IN THE NEWS

          KORLEONE YOUNG, the high school player who declared
     himself eligible for the NBA Draft earlier this month,
     signed with CA-based agent JEROME STANLEY of Stanley &
     Associates (THE DAILY)....ABC/ESPN's ROBIN ROBERTS will be
     among the presenters at the 23rd Annual Gracie Allen Awards,
     presented by the FOUNDATION OF AMERICAN WOMEN IN RADIO AND
     TELEVISION (AWRT) on April 27 in NYC.  Lifetime's MICHELLE
     TAFOYA will be given an individual achievement award for her
     WNBA play-by-play (AWRT)....JAY LENO, on Take Your Daughter
     to Work Day: "What if you work at NIKE?  Do you have send
     your daughter to a prison in China?  Of course, if you work
     for Nike overseas, your daughter's been at work, for what,
     18 hours already.  It's probably just another day" ("Tonight
     Show," 4/23)....Several Mets players, including AL LEITER,
     MATT FRANCO and TIM SPEHR, in uniform in their black tops
     and hats, took part in a dance sequence on the "Rosie
     O'Donnell Show" Thursday ("SportsCenter," ESPN, 4/23).
