FLOODING THE MARKET: FORMER NFLP PRESIDENT STARTS FIRM

Former NFLP President JOHN FLOOD has "quietly
established a sports marketing practice that already has an
impressive client list," according to Terry Lefton of
BRANDWEEK. Among those represented are Cowboys Owner JERRY
JONES, "major" NFL licensee Logo Athletic and NFL prospect
CHARLES WOODSON. Flood will represent Woodson "exclusively
for marketing deals," as attorney BRIAN MOLLOY has signed as
Woodson's contract agent, pending NFLPA certification.
     Flood's N.Y.-based firm, OldIron Sports & Entertainment,
will rep Logo Athletic for marketing consulting and athlete
procurement (Terry Lefton, BRANDWEEK, 2/16 issue).
PUFF OR FLUFF? NFLPA Dir of Media Relations CARL
FRANCIS said that rap artist/producer SEAN "PUFF DADDY"
COMBS "is pondering a career as a sports agent." Combs "is
under consideration" by Charles Woodson, but neither Combs
nor Woodson "commented on their relationship." Francis also
said that Combs has yet to submit an application to the
NFLPA, and that he "has missed 2-of-3 mandatory meetings
that prospective agents must attend" (BOSTON HERALD, 2/14).
