          TCI said yesterday that it will raise its cable rates
     nationwide by an average of 5-5.5% (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER,
     2/12)...."ET" will preview the SI swimsuit issue tonight
     (THE DAILY)....The Source has moved up the launch date of
     The Source Sports from September to May.  Some 350,000
     copies will be available on newsstands (MEDIAWEEK, 2/9).
          TENNIS: Tennis in Chile "is soaring on a par with
     native son" Marcelo Rios' career.  The semifinals of the
     Australian Open earned a 31.6 household rating while the
     finals, which Rios lost, earned a 29.7 (ELECTRONIC MEDIA,
     2/9)....SI Managing Editor Bill Colson is interviewed in
     TENNIS WEEK where he discusses the tennis coverage in his
     magazine: "It would be hard for me to say that [SI] is a
     kind of beacon of hope for pro tennis.  I couldn't say that
     with a straight face right now.  Tennis is currently
     struggling for the attention of the American sports fan"
     (TENNIS WEEK, 2/12 issue)....Riprock President Kevin O'Keefe
     has signed on as a columnist for Tennis Week focusing on
     marketing and entertainment issues in the game (THE DAILY).
