MORE RATINGS: Through 13 games on MSG, Rangers ratings are up 8% from '96, from a 1.31 to a 1.41. The "big boost" came from the October 11 game against former Ranger Mark Messier and the Canucks, which earned a 1.63 despite ending at 1:15am (NEWSDAY, 10/31)....TSN reported 1.1 million viewers for Game Seven of the World Series, making it TSN's fourth-highest rated telecast ever (GLOBE & MAIL, 10/31). ...Fox Sports Pittsburgh posted a 5.3 rating for Penguins games in October, a 36% increase over October of '96 (FSP).
