EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          RICHARD FRIEDEL was promoted to Senior VP/Engineering &
     Ops for Fox Tape, the News Corp. division that handles
     engineering ops for Fox Sports (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 10/16).
     ...JEFF HALL was named VP/Marketing & Sales for the National
     Lacrosse League.  Hall was Assistant Dir of Marketing at the
     Bills (NLL)....The PGA Tour Policy Board named GE CEO JOHN
     WELCH as an Independent Dir (PGA Tour)....Park Avenue
     Productions, the N.Y.-based sports/entertainment division of
     Park Avenue South Partners, hired SCOTT MCCULLOM as Senior
     Marketing Dir, and DAN JASPER as Dir of PR and Promotions
     (Park Avenue Productions)....DOUGLAS PEARSON, President of
     The Fitness Experience, has been elected to the Board of
     Directors of the NSGA (NSGA)....Maxfli named MARK THAXTON to
     the new position of Tour Promotions Manager (Maxfli).
