TIGERS, A'S, EXPOS AND PHILLIES VOTED "FAN-FRIENDLY"

United Sports Fans of America (USFANS), a national
consumer advocacy group, has named the Tigers, A's, Expos
and Phillies MLB's most "fan-friendly" teams. In June,
USFANS issued the "Baseball Challenge," asking every MLB
team to "step up to the plate and help lower the cost fans
pay to go to games." Based on information provided by each
responding team, USFANS chose the teams that offered "the
best value to most of the people most of the time." The
four "fan-friendly" teams are ranked equally (USFANS).
BANG FOR YOUR BUCK: The Phillies offer Fan Kit Coupon
deals for as little as $10 that includes tickets, hot dogs,
soft drinks and a scorecard for two people. The Expos
"dramatically" cut ticket prices this season, in some cases,
almost in half. The Tigers' ticket package for $8 includes
a soft drink, hot dog or pizza and a newspaper. The A's
offer a $25 family pack which includes four tickets, four
hot dogs, four drinks and four bags of chips (USFANS).
