PANTHERS DOING THEIR BEST TO MAKE TICKET HOLDERS HAPPY

The NHL Panthers "sent season-ticket holders
comprehensive relocation plans," in preparation for their
move to a new Broward County arena, according to Michael
Russo of the Fort Lauderdale SUN-SENTINEL. Season-ticket
holders are asked to fill out a detailed questionnaire that
consists of "seating requests and other desires." The team
has contracted Distributed System Architects to help with
the relocation, set for the '98-99 season, and its goal is
to "place existing customers in seat locations that are
comparable to their seats at the Miami Arena." Panthers
President Bill Torrey "said Monday that the overall price
increase for tickets going into the new building is
projected to cap off" at around six percent. For season
ticket holders, lower-level seats will go from $52 to $56,
while mezzanine and sideline balcony seats will increase by
$1, to $32 and $25. The Panthers have sold "close" to
13,000 season tickets for this season at the 14,703-seat
Miami Arena (Fort Lauderdale SUN-SENTINEL, 8/12).
