SPRINT INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES DETAILS OF TOURNAMENT

No one has ever won The Sprint International twice, so ten of the previous 11 winners will be shooting to be the first to repeat at the Castle Pines Golf Course this weekend. The sudden-death playoff victor in 1996, Clarence Rose, will defend his title against a field that includes long-hitting John Daly, US Open Champion Ernie Els, and 1997 British Open Champion Justin Leonard. A complete list of the field is on the Official Web Site, presented by Sprint, at http://www.sprintsports.com. The Sprint International web site was launched just prior to the 1995 tournament, featuring the first real-time leader board ever on the Internet. The site contains details of the tournament history: Jack Nicklaus working with Founder Jack Vickers creating the course; a photo tour of all 18 holes with their panoramic views; tee times and pairings; individual official scorecards; and daily news and updates from the tournament.
