REPORTS HAVE CSN EXPLORING SALE: IS NEW FOX VENTURE A FIT?

          Classic Sports Network (CSN) "is exploring a possible
     sale, according to people familiar with the company's
     plans," according to Bruce Orwall of the WALL STREET
     JOURNAL.  Orwall's sources say that among "those interested"
     in purchasing CSN is the "newly formed" TV sports venture
     between News Corp., TCI and Rainbow Media Sports Holdings. 
     While CSN has "held discussions with others," including Walt
     Disney Co., the Fox group "appears to be the most aggressive
     in talks."  While some analysts "put the network's value at
     perhaps" $100-150M, Orwall writes that CSN "may seek more,
     based on rising valuations in the cable industry and the
     network's unexpected growth" (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 7/10).
