WQAM PULLS PLUG ON GOLDBERG IN MIDDLE OF SPORTS BABE TALK

          In FL, WQAM talk-show host Hank Goldberg's "strained
     relationship" with the station "took another strange twist"
     Thursday, according to Tom Jicha of the Fort Lauderdale SUN-
     SENTINEL.  Goldberg, who had been suspended from the station
     for comments regarding Wayne Huizenga, was pre-empted by
     WQAM while making an appearance on the nationally syndicated
     Sports Babe program.  While Goldberg discussed how he broke
     the story of Huizenga's plan to sell the Marlins, WQAM
     Program Dir. Duff Lindsey "ordered that the station cut away
     from the interview."  Commercials and promos ran until
     Golberg finished his interview.  Lindsey said he cut away
     because he said he is under "a very specific set of orders,"
     which Jicha writes, "[H]e interpreted to mean that Goldberg
     was not to appear on WQAM during a seven-day suspension that
     began last Thursday" (Fort Lauderdale SUN-SENTINEL, 6/27).
