NOTES: NASCAR's Winston Cup California 500 final rating of 5.5 was a 25% increase over its initial overnight rating. In '97, all four NASCAR Winston Cup Series events on broadcast TV saw their national ratings increase an average of 31% from the overnights (NASCAR)....USA TODAY's Rudy Martzke reported that TNT's NBA Draft telecast "dipped 17%" to a 3.0 rating. Turner's Greg Hughes says that 10 million people still viewed the four hour show (USA TODAY, 6/27).
