Fortune Brands Inc.'s Cobra Golf unit said that Arnold
Palmer Golf Co. recalled two golf-club lines as part of a
settlement of a trademark-infringement suit filed last week.
Arnold Palmer Golf "denied that it intended to copy the
Cobra Golf clubs, but said it agreed to recall them to avoid
any confusion" between the companies' products (WALL STREET
JOURNAL, 6/18)....ADWEEK's Katy Eckmann reported that
Daytona USA "has pulled the creative portion" of its account
with FL-based Fry/Hammond/Barr in-house. Daytona USA's Jeff
Allen "cited cost-effectiveness" as the reason for parting
with the agency. The budget was estimated at $1M when
Fry/Hammond/Barr landed the account almost two years ago
