ANALYSTS SAYS NIKE STOCK BACK ON THE UPSWING

While Nike stock "took a dip earlier this year as
analysts downgraded it," the company "appears to be picking
itself up and starting to run again," according to Graham
Fysh in the Tacoma NEWS TRIBUNE. Nike stock "slid" from a
high of $76.375 reached in mid-February down into the $50s,
as Nike said it expected earnings for the fourth quarter to
fall below the $.69 per share analysts had been estimating.
Fysh adds that now investors "are looking beyond the fourth
quarter," into the first quarter of the next fiscal year.
Fysh: "Clearly they are concluding that Nike's problems are
short-term and that the stock could start climbing toward
its previous high again. So they see the stock as depressed
and as a buy." Nike gained $1.25 Monday, and $1.125 Tuesday
to close at $58.125 (Tacoma NEWS TRIBUNE, 6/11).
